See, the Ford Pinto wasn’t the worst car of the 70s.

The K-cars did help Chrysler survive the 80s.

Yeah I guess the K cars did borrow a lot from the Omni/Horizon. But I would be OK with a K car. I guess they did already have that covered with the Magicwagon they had on display.

Ha if there was one car I was sure belonged nowhere near an automotive museum ever it would be this car in that spec.

I think they actually did a story on this car, where they said it was extremely hard to find cars like this, from that era, in good condition. So when they had the chance to get this Omni they jumped on it.

I’ve often said that if I saw a half-decent Omni for sale locally for a good price, I’d buy it and drive it out of spite (and to see just how bad a car can be).

A few years ago they said they were looking for the regular cars from that era so they could preserve them properly. No problem finding good examples of sports and luxury cars, but the everyday cars were eluding them.

But if you only preserve the best then you don’t actually see how the world was in the past.

Makes some sense, I saw a couple in Idaho and Wyoming last week, but they were late 80s versions. The 70s ones are all long gone.
